Hi, Me and my family spent a number of years in Silsden during WW2, we were evacuated from London, my young sister was born in Silsden. We returned to London in 1945, I and my brother attended Aire View Primary School, we all lived in Browfield Terrace at the time. I do remember a few names from that time, Mary Wilkinson who I believe married a Doctor. A lad named David Winterbottom, and 2 sisters who lived in the house next door, Sylvia and Glenda Pollard. I am now 73 yrs young, so its been a few years since I left, I did return for a brief visit in about 1955 as I remember. Would like to know if any body remembers my family, Heres hoping.. |
