this post has been edited 1 time(s) Why should i vote to re-elect Chris Atkinson Silsden's local independent ward councillor on May 7th, Here are but a few reasons why, He has made a contribution to enhance the pupil experience at Air View school, He has provided silsden Dementia group with £500 to aid the set up a new monthly meeting, He has given silsden junior footballers £300, He has given swimsmart £300, He has provided five additional litter bins for the village at a cost of £1500, He has worked with steeton with Eastburn parish council in order to develop a joint neighbourhood plan to protect the town from over development, He has also helped in the provision of two defibrillators, He works in the ward every day and does not just appear for elections. This is only a fraction of what he has done over the years so get out on May the 7th and give Him your vote  |

Yea a great bloke, good with his skip wagon too, can drop off and pick up a skip in a crowded street with the precision of a robotic surgeon. as i witnessed on Craven Drive, thursday morning,( a pleasure to watch) good luck to you Chris. |

He also gives invaluable help with the Christmas lights each year, not only does he give his time and vehicle on the day, he also transports the features that are in need of repair to and from the manufacturers in Burnley every year. He shows just what we can have; if we elect the correct candidates to work for us |

I personally think that this man deserves our vote. If anyone does more for Silsden than him I should be very surprised. Make your vote count and vote for someone who works for US, not the carbuncle of Bradford. Good luck on Thursday Chris |

If he has given his own money then its a great achievement!! But then again there is the sale of some land at Bradley Road which seems a bit suspicious? So which prospective millionaire could not give away a couple of thousand of pound? |

I missed many badly parked cars in and around Silsden! You want to try driving a bus it is not as easy as the drivers make it look! |

All Ward Councillors have a small amount of Bradford money to give away, as they see fit, on good causes within their ward. What assets they personally own is nothing to do with us. ENOUGH, back to the subject |

Whoever won the 2015 Craven Ward District Council election would have got a full term of office before another election is due. Craven Tories came out to vote in full force so it's Cllr Rickard we got. Town Cllr Atkinson previously won a by-election and completed the short remaining term of a Conservative Cllr who had sadly died while in office. We all need to accept that Craven (and remember it's not just Silsden,important though you are)is not as "Independent" as some would like. And not nearly as Labour as I would like! The people have spoken. Loudly. Let's hope they are still as happy with their choices 4 and 5 years from now! |

skippy I have just seen your post, have been away in Gran Canaria for 2 weeks and have kept well away from internet, how ever I don't recall saying Knighthood but if that is what you would like I will see if I can start pulling a few strings to make this happen. ( it could be a long shot, we may find cheese on the moon first. ) |
