ok, i'm looking for a venue that is a bit different so i am turning to all you to help me come up with ideas.
We are planning to hold a party for around 100 guests but we would like to arrange the cateres possibly. as it is a joint birthday bash we have a band in mind but there would need to be room for them.

now the harder bit,
ideally we would like a remote place such as an old barn possibly with a marque but something of that of thing and better still if there was a great view.

I know its a tall order but any great ideas would be much much apreciated

so if you have or know of a big old barn to rent let me know. But all ideas would be great

Thanks a lot

HB.

You could try Dalesbank Caravan Park.

From memory it has a large function room with a stage and bar, plenty of outdoor space and good views over the valley.

Give them a call on 653321

If it's the dalesbank i am thinking of, it would be great for a party, bit difficult to find if people don't know the area as not very well signposted, or at least it wasn't when the band i was in played there 2 years ago for a 50th bash. Bar is reasonably priced, but could do to be a bit better stocked though from memory.

The golf club's great and fairly remote and not at all snooty.

Try the Cavendish Pavillion at Bolton Abbey. They may allow you to put up a marquee in the grounds

Dalesbank would be ideal, can hold 150-200 people for a party. stage, nice bar with quiter rooms for the elderly. catering available and good. if you have food, the room hire is free
hope this helps
