I feel since Purple Garlic moved in they have suffered severely. We love Deshi and hope their refurb will be their phoenix of resurrection! Although a little detail of perhaps failing could be their tandoori chicken,,it has changed and is now bought in and appears to be mass produced! Please go back to fresh ingredients! #win |

I have to agree with you, Wilma. I can't see how they can have generated any capital to fund a "refurb". They killed the business stone dead when they got a drinks licence and stopped BYO |

Guess what! Saw some guys in Deshi stripping the wallpaper Thursday. Not sure if It's the same guys as I didn't recognise any of them. Looks like It's going to reopen. |

I think instead of another curry house we should get a new Thai back in. Bai Tong ROCKED and it is very sorely missed  I know this is a bit late, but perhaps the eseentials bar could be converted in to a Thai, as it has had no luck being a bar of any kind. Anyone have any other ideas? |

this post has been edited 1 time(s) Well it looks like the bridge pub may now be a curry house. They are too many takeaways in Silsden already and if the bridge does turn into an indian I think that it will be one too many for Silsden. How can there be so many in such a small town centre? It will be a real shame if the bridge doesn't open as a pub again ( a decent one this time ). It was a shame when bai tong shut, it was a very good spot. I think a Thai place would do well in Silsden but not another curry house. |
