Hello can anyone point me in the direction of a decent old-fashioned jeweller who can shorten a stainless-steel watch strap? Tried three in Keighley and they were all less than helpful. |

Thanks for that, forgot about them.
Tried three, who shall be nameless. One was going for his lunch, one hadn't got the tools, and the last one (a multiple) wanted to charge me an arm and leg because I didn't buy the watch from them.
Bought the watch off E-bay from Hong Kong at a bargain price Just a bit of a long way to go to get it altered! |

Try Ashworth and Tennant, The Moors Shopping Centre Ilkley, I used these for my wifes watch and they were excellent, took it apart and cleaned it handing it back working properly all while I waited and for free, even though I did not buy it from there, only took 10 mins |

Thanks for all the help.
Found an old-fashioned one in my old home town, dare I say Salford, and he only charged me a tenner for adjusting two straps and a new battery in a clock! And all while I waited.
Pity we ain't got a decent little jeweller in Silsden.
Samuels wanted a tenner PER strap! |
