Topic : Silsden Town Band Christmas Concert - Sunday |

Sunday 11th December, 6pm. The band will be playing their Christmas Concert at Worth Valley Community Church, South Street, Keighley (on right hand side of South Street, between Apsley St & Queen St). Arrive in good time to be sure of a seat. |

I thought that they would be playing on our NEW BANDSTAND for all the comunity to hear |

Regrettably the band are not playing a proper concert in Silsden this Christmas but they will be playing along (with a few extra numbers) at the carol service at the Methodist church, 6pm, Sunday 18th. They have nothing else planned for the bandstand until it warms up again but may be playing around the streets one evening and possibly at the Co-op one morning. Or catch them at Sainsbury's in Keighley on Saturday morning (17th). |

so please tell me why silsden town band have not organised to play in silsden,is this not silsden town band,do they not go under the name of silsden town band, but yet it appears that they for what ever the reason have decided to perform a christmas concert in keighley, DONT WE DESERVE TO BE ENTERTAINED BY OUR SILSDEN TOWN BAND. |

I think you will find that the concert was in a church in Keighley by request. As was the one at the Silsden methodist church last Sunday. The band were out on Tuesday playing round the streets and will be outside the Co-op 10/12 Saturday, Christmas Eve. Band stand events in Silsden are being planned for 2012. Don't forget the band stand is new but the diary for the band is planned a long way ahead. The band is always there for the Remembrance Service in November too. Lewis |
