This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

Hi all. From Saturday, April 26th, Ilkley Literature Festival are running a reading group (Story Explorers) and writing group (Story Wizards) for 8-11 year olds (children currently in Y3-6). It will run from 10am to 11.20 in two 35 minutes sessions with a break in the middle, and it's run by a professional leader, along with volunteer assistants (all CRB/DBS checked). Each session with start at 10am, and is at the Clark Foley Centre in Ilkley (which is fully accessible), and a good time is guaranteed to all!

There's a small charge to cover the cost of hiring the room - £9 for 9 weeks or either reading or writing, £18 for both. The Clark Foley centre's easy to get to from the bus stop near Morrisons Local, and we'd love to welcome anyone interested in reading or creative writing (It's not like school!)

You can get more information from the Literature Festival website (www.ilkleyliteraturefestival.org.uk) or by calling the Festival Office at 01943 601210.

Thanks!
