I noticed that the Travel Agents in Kirkgate has closed, which is ad as they gave good efficient service and it was more pleasnat and interesting to go reseach and book an holiday with them than on the net. It is very sad that Silsden has now become a big dormitory for commutors. |

The Travel industry is being hit hard by the recession. I am a homebased travel agent in Silsden, and can arrange holidays and short breaks, whether near or far. I can arrange home visits, we can meet in the village for coffee, you can call around, whatever meets the individuals requirements. As I work from home, I do not have the overheads that shops have, and I worked overseas for 7 years so have lots of honest, practical information to pass on..... the problem is people dont have the time/too lazy to go to the local shops they want to drive to somewhere park up and do there shopping all in one area |

Heard that the Travel Agent did a moonlight flit! Also heard that they had taken a few bookings without processing them and kept the money! Would be nice to hear their side of the story |
