This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

Now the beck bridge nears completion isn't it time
we rattled the Environmental Agencies cage. Unless
i've missed something i thought they were coming last September/October to clear the rubble in the
beck by the Post Office.
This is a central area and could look so much nicer. Maybe if nothing happens a working party could be arranged to knock back into shape.

Thanks Smithy, we also wondered about the Duck Pond area. A J.C.B. needed to clear out the wash down. Kept thinking that any more floods, it could cause problems.

What's the latest on clearing out the stones from the 'duck pond' in the Beck?

Has anything been organised?

Need to do it soon while the weather's not too bad and the monsoon arrives to flood us out!

There are a couple of 'top-stones' from the roadside wall been pushed into the water too that need replacing (& cementing in).

(Apologies if the answers are elsewhere on the site - couldn't find the other thread) wink ;)

This is the thread you were looking for X-REF
www.silsden.net/forum/philboard_read.asp?id=754&recordnum=0

It has pictures of the dislodged lip stones and the topic was started in June 2008 shocked 8O i.e. nothing has been done about cleaning up the beck in over a year.
