IMPORTANT PLEASE READ

This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

I understood the council have proposed parking restrictions in Silsden. Then I read one of the public notices that they have to put up by law so people can, if they wish object. It says the proposals are for Eiilott Street.
If in the future someone gets a ticket on a street in Silsden with a similar name I would guess it would not be enforceable.

I wouldn't worry too much about getting a ticket on any of the yellow lines in Silsden, (Except Zig Zags). If you read this weeks Keighley News, Bradford Council have put off indefinitely; taking over enforcing parking restrictions, because they say the lines are not up to statuary requirements and therefore cannot be enforced.
This is typical of them they expect the police to work with substandard markings but when it comes down to them having to do it they say they can’t. without spending a lot more of the council tax payers money.

Any vehicle parked on a road can be done for obstruction, yellow lines or no yellow lines.

Excellent Grandad, they've just given permission for every idiot shopping in silsden to park all the way down the main street! Can't wait till the schools are back open and see how much chaos the mums/dads on school run can legally cause!! Roll on Wednesday
