has anyone any info on famous cobbydalers past or present? i know of one slightly famous person who now lives in silsden.. his name is Ashley Klein. he is an australian rugby league referee who is over in this country as a super league ref, and regularly gets to officiate in the big matches.. he may even end up reffing the super league grand final this year. I know he's an off cumden, but he gets silsden's name in the press every week in the sports pages.. |

Okay Dokee, here are just a few of Silsden more famous citizens past and present. Arthur Lampkin - Motor Cross World Champion 1960's Martin Lampkin - World Trials Champion 1975 Dougie Lampkin - World Indoor & Outdoor Trials Champion for about the last 5 or 6 years Enough of the Lampkins now onto some others Paul Newby - World Karate Champion. Kid McCoy & King Ben - Professional Wrestlers So thats all I can think of at the moment, but 4 world champions from a town the size of Silsden can't be bad. |
