You probably know this already but just to be sure, here goes.
Sodium valproate (epilim,)is an anticonvulsant and if taken whilst pregnant it could cause the following in children: -autism, low cognitive ability, poor comprehension, poor memory, bowel problems, joint pain, attention problems and other symptoms. The medical profession has known about these side effects since the 80s.
Source:- wp.rxisk.org/facts-about-facs/ Sorry it's not a direct link as I am using a tablet. See The Organisation for Anti- Convulsive Syndrome ---- oacs-uk.co.uk |

All that information is on the patient information leaflet that is in every single box of Epilim. No one is trying to hide this information, it is readily available these days (granted it may not have done back in the 70s and 80s) and in fact a pregnant woman a woman who wants to get pregnant who is on any medicine would be a little daft not to discuss it with a doctor and or read the information leaflet |

Please have a look at this link which talks of a pregnant woman whose medical team knew that she was taking epilim.--emma4oacs.wordpress.com/my-children-and-i/
"I was never told of FACS syndrome whilst taking the prescribed medicine epilim- not by doctors, GPs, midwives." "Parents now coming forward who are pregnant on these meds and have never been told or even heard of this condition." These quotes come from, thejusticegap.com2012/03/a-bitter-pill-the-epilim-families-fight-for-justice/ Where the problem and fight for justice is explained.
All the edits are because the scroll function on the tablet periodically stops and I always want to submit a post hopefully without mistakes. |
