I work for a company based in Ilkley and I have just had a phone call from someone claiming to be from BT... They told me they had sent several reminders for an outstanding balance and unless payment was made immediately they would cut the phone line.... I know we are up to date and refused to make a payment over the phone. At this point she called me rude, so I asked for her name at which point she hung up.... I have phoned BT myself and confirmed there is no outstanding debt. This is obviously a scam to make you panic and provide credit card details... BE AWARE |

They can also claim to be from Bradford Council wanting council tax. |
