this evening, short power cuts been reported in Silsden, Steeton, Sutton & Skipton. Seems a large area to be going out at the same time, anyone know what's been going on?

According to the Power Grid people website, no such power cut took place.

So we have all imagined it happy :)

Checked Power Grid website again.....no power cuts in this area....but it says:-

"Power interruptions often occur as a result of problems with your internal wiring or electrical appliances."

So it's all our own fault wink ;) Or maybe greengrass is right?

Street lights flickering on and off lastnight as I walked up Woodside and into Skipton road. Also, other half said that they had them in Crosshills, their machinery cuts out, start up needed which takes ages to do.So someone telling fibs!

I suspect it will be their definition of a power cut, what was happening last night was one or more circuit breakers tripping, then automatically resetting, and not off long enough to register on the system as a power cut.
Possibly caused by a tree branch touching an overhead wire.

My daughter works at Debt Advisory Line in Cross Hills and they got sent home early last night cos of the power cut - all their systems were down.

Here in Cornwall Avenue the electricity kept flicking on and off.
