quick update dogooders; there is going to be a ducking stool ive put you both down for first go; we need loads of help on the day as tim says so dont be shy come and help to make YOUR gala a sucsess. half hour stints are all we are asking for. |

just got back from skipton gala and they had a wild west show on, some of you may remember them years ago , well they have now got a mock village and a good show it is so we have booked them for our gala, thanks to all who have offered to help on the day.more help is needed so if you could help in any way please get in touch, heres to a cracking gala 2008. |

as long as mrs dogooder is in hers aswell; on a more serious note we have been granted £1000 from the coop to help put on this years gala to which we are most grateful so many thanks to mark and karen at silsden coop. the gala field is filling up very fast so if you know anyone who wants a stall let me know asap. |

just to let you all know sun july 27 GALA DAY crowning of the gala queen 1pm punchbowl carpark procession lines up from 12,30 howden road to enable for judging to take place dont forget cash prizes for all winners.procession sets of at 1,30 up main st briggate bridge road bell square bolton road dale view and on to rugby field(fingers crossed please let it be dry). see you all there with your money to put in the DONATION buckets. |

tetleydrinker look at the post above yours the route is there. something for free in silsden this weekend, gala programms in the coop saturday onwards (really they are free), many thanks to the advertisers for their cash also thanks to all who have offered their time on gala day to help out, more help is needed half hour stints is not much to ask. see you all sun 27 july fingers crossed in the park. |

SUNDAY 27 JULY GALA DAY From 1:30 on Sunday, Silsden Town centre will be closed to Traffic for approx 30 mins Lines up from 12.30pm Howden Road to enable for judging to take place (1.00pm crowning of the gala queen at the Punchbowl carpark) Procession sets of from Howden Road at 1.30pm up Kirkgate (Main St) - Briggate Bridge Road - Bell Square - Bolton Road - Dale View and on to the rugby field. See you all there with your money to put in the DONATION buckets.  |

Today myself and my family have been to the gala. We would like to thank all who were involved. We have had such a wonderful day from walking in the procession to the events at the park. THANK YOU SO MUCH....We are so lucky to live in such a great village.xxx |

I agree totaly with you yummy mummy, the day could hardly have been better, the weather smiled on us all. I know how much hard work has been put in by all the worker so thanks again for a wonderful day. |

Sorry no. All the pictures I took are on the website. We had to take Bob The Dog home when the gunfire started at the OK Coral. Great day, well done to everyone. |
