Does anyone know why the goal posts have been removed on the playing fields? I like to take my grandson there to have a game of football. |

this post has been edited 1 time(s) They have always been removed in the summer - for as long as I can remember.I presume it is to repaint/repair them? You will have to use the old fashioned "jumpers for goalposts"  |

I think its to stop people playing football so the grass has time to repair itself. |

I believe there is a "close season" rule that no organized football can be played in June .Hence the removal of the posts every June in the playing fields . |
