The value of a product is the price a willing buyer pays a willing seller.

When a product is in short supply and demand is high, the price goes up.

Only if there is an obvious monopoly situation is their a problem becasue then the buyer is actually unwilling, but desperate.

Not having bothered myself I do not know if this is the situation. What I do know is there is no table salt in the Co-Operative, or dishwasher salt come to that, and I wanted some table salt, for the table.

Did you think to ask what had happened to the price they have to pay?

Funnily enough, I'd suggest due to the massively increased demand, wholesale price will have gone up similarly.

Two choices tho - buy it . . or not. . .

Heard on Radio Leeds this evening a supplier talking to Steve Baily. He said the sellers hadn't put the prices up but, the workers were working round the clock 24/7 trying to keep up to the demand. That ment overtime plus extra time on roads delivering due to weather also put the cost up.
