I read in the Keighley news that the police and local councilors were giong around houses in Silsden to find out what residents had to say about crime in the area. Not really considred crime but if the police just showed thier faces in Silsden park last night maybe the place wouldnt look like a bottle bank this morning.Every time the school breaks up the kids seem to celebrate here.I did clear away many bottles but couldnt do them all,I'm sure other dog walkers will have done more cos it seems to be there responsibility these days,it's pick them up or risk injuries and vet bills again. |

Have you also noticed that after Friday evenings all the streets leading from the centre of town are always littered with # green glass and polystyrene takeaway trays. We usually end up dodging glass and poo, and trying to make sure the dogs don't get their noses into something they think is tastier than they get at home. All this is such a shame, we live in such a lovely area, but increasingly spoilt by the empty heads. A short while ago, we met the community bobby, and whilst having a chat, a lady approached to voice her concerns about the mindless goings on in her area. We looked into the school yard, my goodness, broken glass everywhere. Someone would have to clean that up, and not the idiots that did it. I would love to see those people have their knees scrubbed into it, and the dog owners have their noses rubbed into what they can't be bothered to pick up. We certainly seem to be in an era where "it's someone elses job to sort it out". Don't the mindless few take responsibility for their own actions? |
