This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

Whether you like it or not if it’s not illegally parked there is nothing much to be done.....maybe one of the many people who are pissed off with it should grow some, try and find out who it belongs to and speak to the owner rather than telling people on here who don’t really want to know!!!

No not agressive at all....just telling how it is, got a probelm speak to the owner. would that not be the correct thing to do? its a horse box after all, if it was a transit van would it be a probelm...probably not

Now then Bee its quite obvious you don't live near it or even see it every time you look out of your window so I don't think you are qualified to react to the topic, have a walk up south view terrace to see what we are on about

Not according to how I read this:
www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1989/1796/regulation/24/made

Afraid if it's legally taxed, insured and MOTed, parked legally, there's not a lot you can do about it as it's not on your land.

Water it and sow cress seeds all over it - then report it abandoned when they grow a bit? Send off for a duplicate V5 in your name and then call a breakers?

So I am intrigued...what are the qualifications for commenting on topics in open forum? Do my parents need to be related or something?
I see it most days, All I am saying is If you don't like it talk to the owner, I am sure they will listen to all concerns as most do when spoken to face to face, I would be insulted if I was placed in open forum before being spoken to, You have all made the decision that the owner is an inconsiderate arse, but this may not be the case.

It's a little odd that Bee gets criticised for an aggressive response to a far more aggressive original post!
I agree though, try speaking to the owner nicely rather than just moaning on here!

It may be taxed and tested but due too it being a 7.5 tonner it falls into some requirements for its parking such as 1. In the hours of darkness it must be parked in the direction of travel for the side of the road which it is parked. 2. Also in the hours of darkness it should have parking lights on this applies to any vehicle over 1.75 tons . ( does this include the camper van I'm not sure )
3. A vehicle of this size should not be parked witin 10 metres of any junction so as not to cause a obstruction and not to endanger other road users , I think you'll find its parked between 2 junctions which aren't 10 metres apart .
Make of this what you will but , just cause its taxed and tested doesn't necessarily mean it can be parked legally.
