I know exactly where this is. It is a water pipe crossing Holden Beck near Far Ghyll Grange Farm. There was a stone bridge here many years ago known to the locals as Lumb Bridge. The bridge was lost in a flood and is now replaced With a simple concrete thing. Lumb Bridge was a favourite pic nic place generations ago. Photographs of this place in those days still exist.

Yes spot on, Holden Beck.The original stone bridge was swept away in a cloud burst in 1900. So the question is Peter, have you got a photograph of Lumb bridge to show us ( Please )

I think this 1938 map provides the answer



The tannery needed water and the Silsden U.D. Council Water Works provided it.
