Many peolple in Silsden will remember Claire Peel who lived at Ribble Court and attended Aire View, Hothfield Street and South Craven before we moved to Manchester. Sadly Claire died in hospital on 5 February 2004 following an operation on her back. Claire had many friends in Silsden and this is to let them know. She was always the most happy 'people person' I have ever known and will be sadly missed. God Bless Her. |

I just read the post about Claire Peel dying and I had to write. I was friends with her sister Lucy, many years ago, until I moved to Edinburgh at eight years old. I have been trying to get in touch with her for a while now and our other friend Linzi Harper. I agree that Claire was always a people person. She was always the most bubbly and fun person to be around and all my memories of her are good ones. It was a pleasure to know her. If anyone knows the Peel family could you let them know that Nicola Furnivall who used to live at 8 Beechgrove in Silsden is so very sorry to hear the news and would love to get in touch again. I know it's been a long time but in the ten years since we moved I have never stopped thinking about them. I hope someone somewhere can help me. |

Hey Nicola, I saw your msg on the website a couple of weeks ago and tried e-mailin you but either you didn't recieve it or you avn't checked it. I never forgot you either-tried visiting you when we were up @ Edinburgh once, but couldn't find your address. I've been living in Manchester for 4 years now so I don't have Linzi's address for you either. We're all still in shock about Claire's death because it was so sudden and should never have happened. I'm kinda stuck for what to say cos so much has happened in ten years, especially the past month, but if you write back I promise to think of lotsa more interesting things to say! Hopefully talk to ya soon, love Luce xxx |

Hey Lucy Sorry it's been a while. Thinks have been a bit hectic this end as well as my grandad was rushed into hospital. It was really great to hear from you. We have ten years worth of news to catch up on. I can't believe i've actually found you! I really would love to keep in touch this time so I'll give you my email address so we can talk more privately. I've got two so choose one: nicolafurnivall@hotmail.com or, nikchickchuck@hotmail.com I hope you are able to email me here. I know you'll be hearing this a lot at the moment but your sister was a truly great girl. The fact that i remember your family after ten years and thousands of miles speaks volumes. I am so sorry that I didn't get in touch sooner as I would have liked to have seen Claire again. Email me as soon as you get this. I'll look forward to it.Thanks for not hating me for losing touch. Speak to you soon Nikki Furnivall |
