IMPORTANT PLEASE READ This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Topic : Phone Numbers Changing ?? |
|
pgp001 |
Someone told my wife that any NEW phone numbers in this area will be 01274 Bradford numbers. Worse still, that ALL existing phone numbers will be changed in the future as well as having the 01274 code. Has anyone else heard about this, I for one would rather not change if I don't have to. |

this post has been edited 2 time(s) Yes, it's true. The 'phone people of Keighley and Bradford are merging and because Bradford are the larger concern 01274 will take over in 2012. The plug in broadband is also affected. You can object to this by logging on to www.keighleynotbradford.aol.yahoo.org.co.uk I was told by Mr.Wing Wong number. |

This seems a strange move to make. It will mean that al 01274 numbers will need to be 8 figures as 7 means a maximum of 10 000 000 which even for Bradford could be problematic. Maybe 01535 is getting full and approaching 1 000 000. |
