THE price of parking in Ilkley is set to double as council chiefs bring in tough measures to tackle the town's traffic problems. The move is the latest in a strategy to cut down on commuters leaving their cars in town all day, and to make more space available for shoppers and tourists. Another decision by Bradford. I wonder what thought was given to Silsden when making this decision and the effects it will have on traffic through the town and parking at Steeton Very little I guess! |

Alan. Have you forgotten; Bradford don't know or care about us we are just one of their means of raising money for them to waste in the center of Bradford. Even our M.P. says we get a raw deal out of Bradford in her article in the keighley news. |

So why "grandad" do we still insist on voting for the same old councillors for the same old party every time in Silsden? Perhaps we get what we deserve by general apathy? |

You are dead right Alan. If the con Party put a sheep up for election it would become a Bradford councillor. The real sad thing is we wouldn't notice any difference; the ones we already have behave so much like sheep, they just follow their leader blindly regardless of what we voters want, because they know they will be relected come what may |

There could be advantages with the sheep as well grandad! At least it might be easier to get three out of three attending Town Council meetings rather than the one that attends now! Just how do they represent the town when they don't apperently speak to the people, live in the town, or attend Town/Parish Council meetings? Perhaps the paranormal is involved? |
