Whilst it very ncie that Sue is 50, bollards, cones etc are there for road users to see and be guided by, not tell us all about birthdays. |

Sue is 50 but her husband must be about 4 going on 5 what is it about putting photos all over the place  if her friends now she is 50 why bore the hell out of the rest of us when we have no idea who she is and we do not really care |

Whoever did it - they could at least have gone round and removed some/all of them afterwards - bit of an eyesore really. |

I know Sue and you will find she is still 50 until midnight tonight, also I think all of the signs have now been removed by the person who put them up. With the state of the traffic in Silsden at the moment I don't thinks a few A4 black & white posters are reducing safety of pedestrians and drivers. Perhaps if they were printed in red it would be safer as quite a few of the drivers in Silsden do not seem to recognise the colour red, especially on the traffic lights down by Lazeez. GAL |

If anything, with the state of traffic in Silsden, anything that could distract drivers is a problem. In fact, I suspect the placing of these posters is illegal. If I see any tomorrow I will be removing them. |

Saw the "50" posters and they didnt bother me.Googled to see if it came up with details of any crashes anywhere caused by fly posting and drew a blank. |

well i never thought my dear friends birthday would cause such a large topic of conversation !!  firstly i would like to correct you unhappy/miserable people on a couple of facts.... it is not illegal to put up posters at all and i did get this info from a police officer, and with respect to using the cones, barriers etc we got permission from a member of phoenix staff !! and i think you will also find that 90% of the posters have been removed !! now i would also like to point out that putting up the posters to celebrate my very dear friends 50th birthday was far from offensive or distracting for drivers if any thing it gives drivers something to look at whilst sat in long queues of traffic ! so all i can say to you miserable grumps with nothing better to moan about than a few posters to celebrate a milestone birthday is ..... get a life !! i just wonder if you would moan so much if someone had done this for your birthday ??? life is to enjoy not moan about irrelevant harmless fun ! at least moan about something slightly more important such as " how many trees suffered to provide me with the paper i used to make these posters" !!! lol |

well we dont want that but please remove those silly posters informing us all that sue is only 50 i dont think so 10 years older at least and im been generous why broadcast ones age nobody is really interested just annoyed sue you need to have a chat with who ever is kidding us all on xx |

....well said pog! ..to be fair there must be alot of very boring people in silsden, who have no idea what the meaning of 'having a laugh' is, and dont know how to enjoy a special birthday. i can only imagine what their birthdays consist of! |
