This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

Does anyone know why, after years of driving to Skipton, happily listening to Chris Evans in a morning, my car radio suddenly loses all reception the minute I drive past Cononley Lane Ends. This continues until I come home and go past Kildwick Hall when it reappears. This only started this week but has continued to happen every day. Its very annoying! I presume it may be something to do with the digital switch over. Its a reasonably new car and it affects every station not just Radio 2.

It might have something to do with us at this end of the valley having more sense than to want to listen to that fool!

Before you make such flippant replies you might consider the fact that ALL car radio's will stop working when the change over takes place . Unless you PAY to have a DAB radio fitted . Now that aint so funny is it !!!.

I think the car radio digital switchover is supposed to be in 2015, and that there are ways to convert your existing car radio.
But I'm not an expert....does anyone know the exact details, as this is going to affect us all?
