Garden waste collections in December If you use the garden waste collection service, we just want to remind you that the service runs from 1 June 2017 until 31 May 2018, but there are no collections between Saturday 2 December 2017 and Monday 1 January 2018. Over the next few weeks we are looking at re-routing the garden waste collection rounds which means your collection day may change. You will be notified of any changes in advance. Why not download the Bradford Council app and receive bin alerts to remind you when to put your bin out for collection, and much more. Changes to bin collections for residents on rural rounds Over the next few weeks we are planning to introduce alternate week collections to residents on rural rounds, bringing them in line with the rest of the Bradford District. If you are on a rural round, not serviced by a full sized bin lorry, you will be given a free recycling bin to replace the blue bags and recycling containers you already have. You will also be able to recycle more items all in the same recycling bin. Your bins will also need to be presented at a specified kerbside collection point, we will no longer be able to collect bins from your property. All affected residents will be notified of any changes in advance. Does your bin need repairing? If your wheelie bin needs repairing, this service is free. We hold a stock of lids and wheels and we try to repair bins where possible. We aim to do the repairs within 6 weeks, in between delivering new bins. If we can’t repair the damage you will have to request a new bin. Request a bin repair now You can check your bin collection dates online OR if you have a smart phone or tablet, you can download our free Bradford Council app from the Google Play store or Apple App Store. Just search for Bradford Council. It will remind you when to put your bins out for collection. The app offers much more than just bin collection dates. You can report issues, get information about job vacancies, leisure timetables/prices, Bradford Theatres events and so much more. |
