Topic : Clean beck, under park bridge! |

I just wanted to thank the people who have cleaned up the beck. I not sure who it was as lots of things were on here about groups going to do it. So whoever did, thank you. It looks lovely and its appreciated. |

Hi Michelle There were six of us, who cleared the banks and the beck itself from Habasit Rossi, and up to the Bridge on Bolton Road. It si nice to see our efforts have been appreciated. We will be at it again in the spring, when the water conditions will hopefully be a little less extreme. Keep an eye out ont he forums for more details  |

this post has been edited 1 time(s) If I could add my own thanks, 2 guys in waders, I think, went past ours going upstream, the current was very fast. Not sure how they kept their feet.... it didn't look easy! Now beck looks a lot tidier |

Hi just to add SILSDEN YOUTH COUNCIL did orginally do the part by the Park bridge just before remembrance sunday, I know the rubish does accumulate, but the younsters worked hard and do not want their hard work to go unrecognised!! So a big thanks to Silsden Youth Council and Silsden Environmental group x |

Waders would have been no good. Just down stream of clog bridge I went from knee deep to upto my neck. Greybags did the same. Good job we had our diving dry suits on. Great fun looking forward to the spring. |

So a big thanks to Silsden Youth Council and Silsden Environmental group x Yes deputy good job all round though i think since the youngsters had done it some other element in the town had redistributed some waste Were i was clearing (post office to bolton road) i noticed shampoo bottles on the bank near bolton road either someones bathing in the beck or more likely someone or some people are taking recycling out of the recycling area and throwing it in and around the beck  must admit i was mighty ticked off 2 days after we had done the clean up (having removed a car tyre and a road cone from the area by the post office) that there was another cone in the beck on the tuesday morning  |

yes pumba they`ve stopped pad locking the large door down on the plastic recycling bin and they are getting items out and playing in the beck and then leaving them, i picked 5 or 6 items up the other day while walking the dogs |

just been down the beck WALKING (pumba) and picked up 5 coop bags anyway filled 3 off them with more bits of rubbish dropped and nearly a bag full from the memorial garden 6 areo hot drink cups 5 beer pottles a pint glass etc etc,and further down town by computor shop opposite dogsbody there are 2 floresent light bulbs and covers dumped down the side where the flaging is |
