I don't actually live in Silsden (nr Pateley Bridge!) but I've been stopping there on my way through nearly every Saturday morning for several years now to use the Post Office, Butchers, Co-op, Bookies etc, etc (and we had a canal holiday with Silsden boats in the Spring, which was great). I've noticed that just recently BradMet's policing of the car park at the top of the high street, and where I usually park, has been notably conspicuous. It seemed that be that they just never bothered at all but now they seem to be checking most Saturday mornings. Obviously I suppose it's good that they are checking as it's a well-used car-park on Sat. mornings and it stops people using it as a free car park for more than the free 1/2 hr. They don't seem to put tickets on windscreens now either - just take details and photographs which is maybe so people don't know that the car park's being checked ! |
