went for a walk along the canal yesterday from silsden to kildwick, what an eyesore for visitors! the land at the back of sykes lane is a tip and the allotments are a disgrace, surely the allotment association can take steps to get allotments taken away from people who neglect them, it was like a shanty town,whoever owns them should be ashamed.I also noticed that there were 2 bonfires piled up waiting to be lit, I feel really sorry for the people in the house on the canal having to look at that and put up with the smoke it gets all over silsden when the fires are lit, has anything happened regarding this as I know there was a lot of complaints on here last year. Also who owns the derelict houses on the canal side, they will have been lovely in their time but now just a total mess probably ideal for drug taking and drinking? There is a housing shortage these could be done up and used.Rant over! |
