First Blue Bells out down Holden Lane.
They must be 2 weeks earlier than normal at least! |

First one flew in 21st March near Bolton Abbey, still no great numbers arriving. Sand martins are back and a few few house martins but small numbers too. Constant switch between westerly and easterly winds slows bird migration but chiffchaffs, willow warblers and redstarts are around plus a few ring ouzels. Great area for wildlife for those who get out and look |

We've had a pair of demented long tailed tits fighting their reflections on our windows all day. |

Also, what I think must have been a Muntjac deer running across 2nd on Keighley Golf Course this morning. No photo, but a good excuse for duffing my tee shot. |

You are most welcome Mr & Mrs midway, But just to let the good people of silsden.net know it was a chicken curry we had and not a road kill or a pheasant curry |

The Small Tortoiseshell hibernates during the winter and is usually one of the first butterflies to be seen in the spring

Hi midway, If anyone is interested in seeing peregrine falcons, good time to get up to Malham now with two juveniles flying and occasionally landing close up on the top of the cove. Cheers Dave

Spotted a Dipper in the beck, just love to watch as it seems to walk on water then dive for a few seconds. |
