This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

I have just received the following information re:

17/00608/FUL | Change of use from a shop to a single residential dwelling with two bedrooms. No changes to exterior or interior of property. | 50 Kirkgate Silsden West Yorkshire BD20 0AL

STC objected to these plans
objection on the grounds of loss of amenity in a town centre location.

BUT FROM BRADFORD PLANNING

Change of use from a shop to a single residential dwelling with two bedrooms. No changes to exterior or interior of property. at 50 Kirkgate Silsden West Yorkshire BD20 0AL

I am writing to inform you that the above application was approved on 11 April 2017.

Not great when bradfords own heritage policy officer recommended refusal as it goes against several policies. Sets a dangerous precedent as well for any future retail units that become vacant, including potentially the post office
