This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

I think you may find that the plot on st John Sreet is now leased to Toyota from Airedale Factors so they are really entitled to park there and it wouldnt surprise me if they dont open a car sales section there

does anyone know if they have applied for planning permission to sell cars on St. Johns Street? I believe that, whoever paid for the tarmac, it would be necessary.

It looks as if it is being used as a vehicle park and as it has obviously been used as a vehicle park for a very long time then I doubt planning permission is needed. As for surfacing, it was re-surfacing, a legitimate repair. Who paid etc. is not relevant.

i saw them resurfacing it i think it might have been the st johns close developers doing it in return for being able yo use a few bays nearer the ford for residents of the development
(kinda barter system)
we will resurface it all if we can have 5 spaces for our houses
(the marked spaces neaer the ford have reserved for no1/3/5 etc on the wall
