wow now lets hear one of our weak MP's say the same I now understand why record numbers of decent people are leaving and going there AUSTRALIAN PRIME MINISTER DOES IT AGAIN!!! Separately, Gillard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying she supported spy agencies monitoring the nation’s mosques. Quote: ‘IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It. “I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians. ‘This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom’ We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society . Learn the language!’ ‘Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture. ‘We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why. All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.’ ‘This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom, ‘THE RIGHT TO LEAVE‘.’ ‘If you aren’t happy here then LEAVE. We didn’t force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.’ |

this post has been edited 1 time(s) Time our lot did the same, stop making the indigenous population 2nd class. Fully agree with what the Australian P.M. says. Enjoy our lifestyle and culture, if you don't like it......... This isn't about being racist, it's about, come here but, accept our countrys rules, regulations, and ethics. |

I bet there is no minister in this country brave enough to voice the same opinions. If they did they would get my vote. Its about patriotism not race..........If you want to live here accept our traditions or as the australian pm put it. You are free to leave anytime |

All these comments are correct, "multiculturalism" has failed in this country. Sadly the "British" culture is being eroded, and it may be too late, the pendulum has swung too far. Australia has a refreshing attitude to most things, and a very strict immigration policy as well. Good luck to them. |

we have just spent 2 months in OZ having spent 3 months 2 years. ago. I would love to live in Australia but as an OAP we would have to invest about £500.000 with the government, you would get interest on this money and be fully sufficient and pay for private medical. any comments on that |

The australian speech is a hoax and secondly how can the australian prime minister say it is OUR COUNTRY. when it was the Australian Aborigines who were the Indigenous people. |

looks you are spot on dave it is a hoax speech and it looks like it is doing the rounds again I was fooled just like a lot more people due to the simple fact we would love some one in power to gome out and say these things thanks for the info will check that website before i go into print in the future, |

I`ll have a pint of what you`ve been drinking localman  and yes if only a leader had the guts to say this,ive just been to canaries and the first thing i want to do is learn the local lingo and i would certainly learn the local language if i went to live there infact i would learn it before going |

Reading the above you can see why on the Local Development Plan it shows that Silsden has the lowest number of none whites per head of population in the Bradford area. |

i think victors' point is, we are blessed at the moment but don't hold your breath. my thoughts as a truly non-racist person who lived in frizinghall forty odd years ago when it was rare to see a non white is, where are the indigenous people of this country going? are they all moving to grassington? |
