I went to watch it last night and thought it was very good for a village drama group. The children were smashing and train on stage looked good. I wanted to be in this production and could have played the 'tree'. My drama teacher at school said I looked very wooden. |

I watched this on the opening night on Weds and it was indeed very good for, as you say, a local village drama group. My daughter is an 'extra' in the performance of The Railway Children, and really enjoys attending the Theatre Group which meets every Wednesday at the Community Centre in Gloucester Ave. Everyone involved (adults & children), have all put in so much effort in learning their lines, making props and organising costumes etc - as a village we need to support events like this so that the theatre group, (known as Silsden Community Productions, by the way) continues to grow and flourish. So, if you get chance - tonight is the last night - go and see this performance, it is really good and well worth the price of the ticket. If you haven't got tickets, then I believe they are available on the door for the last night, so you can still go this evening and get one on the door. Look out for future performances and please support them. |
