Just popped into the co-op, and noticed they are putting in several self service tills......... Well at least that should speed up the shopping experience.javascript:smileyInsert(topicform.message, ' ');
And just to offset the next comments, I know that if I don't like it I can use other shops etc, etc, etc. |

I like self service tills when just buying a few items. Even for me not in a rush waiting behind someone who waits for all their items to go through. Then has to have free bags, spends ages packing them, then uses card after hunting for it in bag etc etc.
For the record - they are usually a lot younger than me. The sooner free bags are made illegal as in Wales and Ireland the better. |

Self service tillage are a nightmare! They cause more problems than they solve.
I went in to the coop on Monday, they have obviously spent a fortune on the place. Why didn't they do this in the last refurbishment?
Same old company, same old lack of organizatiion! |

Maybe the staff are better used stacking shelves and keeping stock up to date, rather than being on tills? |

moving the kiosk down to the end of the old till area makes a lot of sense, the layout where it was never worked with people leaving the tills having to get past everyone queuing for the kiosk. Lots of people nip in for a couple of items so self checkouts make a lot of sense. Looking at them this morning even though they're not up & running yet, they look very good. Looks like the whole store is being brought up to date with the latest Co-Op branding |
