Please can you let myself and all other potental volunteers know where and when you you would like to see us, so we can help both in setting up and/or with the running of the event on the day. I am hoping the weather from now on will be kind so it can be in the park, but if not I suppose it will be on the green? |

sorry to be late with our posting re gala  we are watching the weather very closely as to where we are going at the moment we are on the tipbut if next weekend it starts to dry up we may be on the park(if the holes are all filled in) we have got kiddies games tug o war kens kids (entertainer) duckin stool ,the bishop of bradford has kindley agreed to give out the cups and prizes on the field, this year it is the 300th aniversiary of the st jameses church so we are pleased to promote this, also this year we have for the first time a bed push (which is to be staged by the airedale dodgers who fund raise for sue ryder) this will be the start of the procession so please all cheer them on and then visit their area on the gala field. loads more to do but i will post more nearer the date |

good news the jet stream in on the move thats caused all this rain, will be in its normal summer position for this weekend and staying for several weeks great for the gala |

the decision is made its the tip(bradley rd green for offcumdens)we hope that the rain will stop for at least our gala day:grandad we could do with some help with rd closure on sun12.15 howden rdwatch this space for more info later |

Procession leaves Howden Road at 1pm up the main street and into Bell Square then up Bradley Road. |

thanks to all the gala gang for putting on yet another good day for silsden also a big thank you to all of the folks who turned up to help in any way. there is too many to name but thanks again. also wasnt the bedpush good |
