I've posted about this a week ago on general forum and we've basically come to the conclusion that we know who it is but we aren't going to publish her name online. After worries that she may be mentally disabled we don't really know what to do next?

If the person in question takes the same route every day, at the same time, try the Dog Warden Service. Their blurb does cover dog fouling. I had cause to contact them a while ago and they were very good in dealing with my call. Worth a try, it's out of your hands confronting the said culprit. Good luck, not a pleasant subject, and one that is rife everywhere.

Sophie I'd say this one person was responsible for around 80% of it. She takes the same route 3-4 times a day. I've requested a street clean from bradford council! Fingers crossed

I have just come back from walking my dog and have spotted a young lad on Hothfield street picking up his dogs poo. Good lad i thought. He then disappeared through to the back street of Hothfield street ONLY TO DUMP THE FRESHLY BAGGED UP POO BETWEEN THE HOUSES HE THEN WENT DOWN AND BACK INTO THE BACK OF HIS HOUSE ON AIREVIEW WITH HIS OLD BLACK LABRADOR NOT EVEN A 2 MINUTE WALK FROM WHERE HE DUMPED HIS POO. I HOPE HIS PARENTS ARE PLEASED WITH THEMSELVES FOR BRINGING UP SUCH A RESPONSIBLE YOUNG MAN BUT WHO JUST FAILED AT THE LAST MINUTE

Think I would be tempted to follow and return bag saying "think you dropped this" but I'm afraid these sort of people have no shame...

I would have been tempted to pick the bag up, follow him home and wang it over their gate, making sure it would be where they would stand in it.
We walked into town at lunch time, played hopscotch with the stuff all the way there and back. A total disgrace.

According to the government:
https://www.gov.uk/report-dog-fouling
So if the council are responsible, money talks these days, we should report EVERY piece of dog mess for a street clean. There would be hundreds of them, and the council would soon realise that it would be cheaper to pay someone to catch the culprits, fine them, and really begin to tackle the problem.
They could even make a profit, just like they do with car parking fines.

I think I know which boy you are talking about, I live on Hothfield and have had several piles right outside my house (which I've been unable to pick up as am heavily pregnant and completely unable to bend!!)but if I see this boy I will be watching and I will confront him as it is disgusting

Pure laziness....if you can get a photo as that seems to be the only way you can prosecute. But good for you, we live in a society now of sometimes turning the other cheek but make sure your safe, if your heavily pregnant then probably don't need to be worrying about lowlifes. Cannot understand why they bag it and then dump... idiotic.

It REALLY comes to something, when some lazy sod has walked down the back of TUFTON Street, allowed their dog to open its bowels, they have bagged the deposit and then left the bag right in my bloody gateway!!!!

There are, I would guess, 50 general waste bins on the back street. If they lifted their arm to 90 degrees and taken 2 short steps to either side, they could have deposited said bag in an appropriate bin!

Fortunately, I saw it in daylight, otherwise I could have walked the contents into my house from the unfastened bag. I know of at least 1 house on my side of TUFTON Street who have a large mixed breed dog, who lets their dog roam on the back street, without collecting the dogs deposits. From now on, I will be keeping a closer eye on the back street and, if needs be, collect photographic evidence, to report it to the appropriate authorities!

The bottom line is this. If you cannot be bothered to pick up or look after your dog, DON'T have one in the first place!

Rant over!

GAMEKEEPER. I know which dog you're talking about. There is poo all over tufton, front and back!! I bought my daughter her first pair of wellies, she's 2. Thought we'd give them their first outing out the back of tufton and about the second step she took, trod in the biggest pile of poo ever.. Nice one. Do inconsiderate and just plain stupid.

sophie1 started this topic but has seen fit to delete the original post and all subsequent posts posted under the name of sophie1. shocked 8Oshocked 8Oshocked 8Oshocked 8Oangryangryangry

Why?

Has the subject matter gone away (I don't think so), or doesn't sophie1 care anymore.

Should I delete the whole thread as there isn't an "owner" to the topic anymore.

I would ban the user. [Edit] Maybe I'm being harsh, after all the individual who's being accused of not picking up seems possibly unbalanced and vindictive. Maybe the OP doesn't want their comments used against them or to provoke a reaction.[/Edit]

Can't you put a time limit on edits Peter? Say 1 day and after that it's there for posterity.

That's what a lot of forums I'm on do, but don't know if Philboard supports it.

Grandparent....I saw this as well, it's a disgrace. Anyone visiting Silsden would get a bad impression of the town, and there's plenty more examples around the place. But no one takes effective action, sadly, it's all been complained about many times before. We'll have thousands of visitors for the Tour, and they will not be impressed....sad :(
