Jonno just what are you trying to get at here? Are you trying to say that vehicles are causing the damage to the road surface? if that is what you are saying then you are barking up the wrong tree as the road has always been a mess since it was very badley damaged by American tanks useing it during the second world war when US troops were billeted on land at the top of Hillcrest |

I'd guess he was trying to say it's a strange place to park a blancmange on wheels - rather than say 20ft closer to a kerb?

Tickety boo Listener what a suprise you have lived here for over 60 years and you never knew about the Americans billeted up Hillcrest Avenue causing all that damage to the road and pavements. A few years ago all the curb stones and pavement across from the co/op were replaced you may remember the stone flags and curb stones were badley broken and sunk down that was due to Joe Yank and his M4 Sherman tank all them years ago. |

It would appear Listener Doesn't listen. I heard about the damage caused by the tanks back in 1972 when I first came here. Junno, that is typical of the drivers these days they think they can abandon their cars anywhere they want, with no thought for anybody else. |

indeed they do, and this is not even the worste I've seen. It was just obvious because it was left sticking out after all the cars parked below it had moved. |

One thing I have noticed in Keighley and Silsden since Bradford Council took over ticketing for parking is after 5-00pm knocking off time people can park anywhere. In Bradford if there is something on at the Alhambra there are more wardens than cars |
