Topic : Barbaric Japanese Eating Dolphins |
|
| alan |
Just seen an article on BBC that the Japanese are now eating dolphins! Isn't it bad enough that they slaughter whales! This country doesn't deserve to be part of a modern world. See this link, and others to the movie: - thecovemovie.com/ |

Do you eat Tuna Alan? Is there that much difference? |
|
| alan |
Yes there is ![]() So you support eating dolphins and whales? Must be why you like Japanese bikes! |
|
| Cobbydale Man |
What is the difference between eating Tuna and eating Dolphin? They are both a similar size and are fish. |
|
| alan |
Doohhhh, dolphin a fish........hohohoho....... What do they teach you at South Craven? No point in debating as you obviously support eating whales and dolphins! |
|
| grandson |
@Cobbydale Man: A dolphin is an aquatic mammel, warm blooded and breathe air! Tuna Fish are well FISH! @alan: Generally it is not those who have attended South Craven School who lack sufficient knowledge when an adult. But those who whilst attending fail to turn up to lessons! |

I have re-read my posts above and I can't find any comments suggesting that I support either Whale or Dolphin eating. Poor old Alan just jumps to conclusions. I will forgive him for his senior moment. |

this post has been edited 2 time(s) quoteWhat is the difference between eating Tuna and eating Dolphin? They are both a similar size and are fish. I would have to argue that your argument of "what is the difference between" eating Tuna meat from that of a Dolphin. I come to this conclusion as in this country atleast consuming Tuna is widely accepted whilst Dolphin/ Whale isn't! |

Can be self-righteous a lot of time ![]() But it's nice getting you all to debate ![]() Strange thing is that a lot of the Japanese don't know what's going on and that dolphin meat was fed to school-kids ![]() p.s. why do you hate the Germans, Japanese, and Chinese? I don't. Just don't think that it's right eating dolphins or whales, watch the trailers of The Cove.... |

We eat pigs. Pigs are acknowledged to actually be more intelligent then dogs by virtue that the average pig can remember 50% more commands than the average dog. Dolphins are reckoned to be about as intelligent as dogs. Pet pigs were quite common on farms. Even Phil Archer had one at one time. It is a tough old world and getting sensitive about those animals lower down the food chain than us would only have lead to starvation, at least in the past. Probably not today. Even so we all carry the baggage of our ancestors. If dolphins, and whales were as intelligent as many give them credit they would have learnt long ago to avoid humans. They do not. It is a tough old world out there. So while we may not like the cultural activities of some members of the human race, remember they are just that, humans, doing what all humans have be doing since we evolved. Dolphins being a mammal will have flesh similar to other mammals. Consequently it will be very edible and possibly quite nice. Maybe not even fishy. Does anyone know? Never knowlingly had sea mammal flesh, although I think whale meat was around when I was young many, many years ago. Anyone know what it tastes like? |

Maybe the Tuna could get together to protect the Dolphins. I got a tin of Tuna the other day and it said it was Dolphin Friendly |
|
| tolpuddle |
That just means it was caught in a manner that does not harm dolphins. I think they are likely to get caught up in the Tuna fishing nets. so it means the nets are friendly to dolphins. |

what do you mean!! you're telling me you don't hate the huns the nips and the chinkys??? ( will peter let this through even if it's meant in jest?) |
|

bobber, your use of slang is derogative and could be offensive. The original is just about ok when used in context but probably best not pursued. |
|
| bobber |
understood st.peter. |

Alan's comment that Japan does not deserve to be part of the modern world could also be offensive Peter !!! |
