This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

Message to police. There is CCTV at both ends of the main street so maybe some clues might be on that if its working.

unbelievable! presume the chemist has an alarm? they should have replaced the glass with wired glass instead of the same full pane of clear glass, assuming that they broke the glass again? I have not seen police in silsden for months and the monthly updates on the police website don't appear anymore.Like gazzer says, surely there must be something on cctv.what did they take this time

I noticed that help the aged door was boarded up as well! presume that was done at the same time.I cannot imagine there was anything to steal in there and hopefully this time the chemists had emptied the till before locking up.
I have still not seen a pcso since my post months ago and the police website seems to have changed so you cannot see in detail what crimes there were in silsden month by month.Maybe the shops should think about getting their own cctv, I bet it was the same people that broke in last time.

I should imagine most likely they are trying to get into the controlled drugs storage rather than trying to get any cash. I live on Keighley Road and have been off for months following surgery so have been people and traffic watching a lot and I havcen't seen a police officer or a PSCO pass in all that time. We clearly need them as there is definitely not a low crime rate in Silsden. It is all too obvious that there are never any officers locally so of course the area will be targeted as most break ins they will be in, out and long gone by the time a car from Keighley. Makes me wonder sometimes why we bother paying our taxes towards them when they don't seem to be aware of our existence.

Just used the link, it didn't tell me anything useful.

There was only a dozen street names mentioned. Do Bmdc and West Yorkshire Police Authority possibly expect me to believe that there was only a dozen reported crimes in this area over a 12 month period??

If that was the case, why do we need a police force?

Interesting....I have seen a PCSO at least 4 times in last month in Silsden....mind you, once was when I actually received a visit from one, he knocked at the door.
Can't tell you why, you'll have to guess, but I'm not in jail, glad to say happy :)
