Hiya, I help out at a youth group in Crossroads and we're wanting to help the young folk make go-karts, or bogies if you're old enough to use that word. We need wheels. Smallish, up to about 10 inch diameter. Wheels of small childrens bikes are great, as are bigger pram wheels, smaller 'buggy' wheels are a bit small as we're riding on grass, for safety. Oh, and the best bit: we can't pay you anything!!  Anyone who can contribute please either email me at hensonfamily@tiscali.co.uk or reply in the thread. Try your appeal on these websites as well groups.yahoo.com/group/Freecycle_Ilkley/ or www.whosyourneighbour.co.uk/ I find the freecyle one very fruitful, and you will be recycleing as well |

thanks BB, I tried Freecycle and did get some good response but most people offered mountain bikes and when we tried it out with one we found that the big wheels do not have the rigidity for cornering and buckle very quickly, especially at the back when you've two lads on. Not wanting to use up any goodwill of the freecyclers I thought I'd ask locally. May give that other site a whirl tho. thanks. |

Jonno Have you thought of asking down at the household waste site in Keighley, they might let you have any they get, if you suggest it will reduce the cost of tipping tax for Bradford council. |
