Topic : Fire-fighter of the year awards ! |

| Silsden Fire Station |
Silsden fire station are holding their annual fire-fighter of the year awards on: Friday 27th December, 7:30pm at Sunny Bank Social Club. Tickets are £10 each which includes a buffet supper, and live band (catch 22). All proceeds go to the Fire-fighter charity, which supports injured Fire-fighters and their families. Tickets are available from Silsden fire station - 01535 653371 All Welcome including children. |

Schedule of events for the Fire-fighter of the year awards 19:30 – FF of the year awards starts 20:00 – Presentation to FF Cockshott by WC Bradley - (long service) 20:15 – Fire-fighter of the year presentation by Mr Paley 20:30 – Raffle Draw 20:45 – Buffet 21:15- Live Band (Catch 22) Tickets are still available for the event from Silsden fire station to avoid disapointment. However people can still pay on the night. Thanks and we look forward to seeing you there. |

I have never known what the firefighters charity is, could you shed a bit of light?I always thought that firemen would have insurance provided by the fire service to cover them should they be off work through injury, is this not the case? seems unfair if it is not |

A good night with lots of retired firemen in attendence. A good band on aswell. Its good when the community rallies round. I won a nice bottle of port donated by Silsden AFC Supporters Club but I always believe what goes around comes around!!!! |
