“Possession is nine-tenths of the law, and we have the money. It’s in our bank account, and that’s where it’s stopping. “That money was given by West Yorkshire Police to the people of Silsden, not to Bradford and not to Coun Mallinson.”

I was considering putting a post up enquiring about these funds. I could not agree more with Chris on this account.

Every time the Town Hall refurbishment is posted in the newspapers, they quote the £300,000 figure, totally ignoring the extra £100,000 thrown at it.

Mallinson has some brass neck to even contemplate the £25,000 being redirected to a project that very few people in Silsden approve of.

Are the Wesley Place buildings viable for STC use? I would very much like to see them brought back into use. Surely the £25,000 would cover most of the expense of restoring them. What is the latest on talks of Silsden purchasing the site?

It would appear that BMDC are still believing their own lies.

www.keighleynews.co.uk/news/news_keighley/10761038.Silsden_Town_Hall____Safety____claims_are_rubbished/

The facts themselves do not lie. The fire doors are padlocked. The plans are totally inadequate for emergency situations.

Does Mallinson just guess figures for council projects

Complications have delayed plans to refurbish Cowling Recreation Ground.

Parish clerk Andrew Mallinson said the parish council wanted to purchase new play equipment for the Main Street recreation ground, which would cost in the region of £150,000 to £300,000.

How can the figures be so far apart.Surely you get an idea before going public.
