IMPORTANT PLEASE READ This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. A large influx of waxwings which come from north eastern Europe and normally mean a cold winter ahead. If any sightings could be reported on the post I would be really grateful, or text me on 07837 298170, photo attached. Some at Keighley golf club and two seen flying near Silsden. ![]() |

Dave has been out and about again. The waxwings are in Silsden, near Brunthwaite Bridge and feeding on berries by the bench occasionally flying off but returning to tall trees by bottom of golf course. For people’s information they are very approachable but sudden movements will cause them to fly off for a while. |
