I suspect that it is to allow things to settle in before the finishing touches are added. Better a wait now than a quick finish and then having to come back and dig it up.

Can someone with civil engineering knowledge confirm or deny this hypothesis

I've heard that the work was started by Bradford using different pots of money, and now they have all run out. So work has stopped until they can find some more funds

Good news the workmen are back.

Bad news they seem to be digging up the curb stones they put down a few week ago!!!!!

Pity they are not taking the opportunity to widen the pavement on the golf range side of the road..... the side people use to walk to and from the railway station (because the buses don't wait for the trains). Another nil point for common sense!

Buses could be timed to arrive with the trains. However buses often get held up by roads clogged with parked cars, so are late. Add to that the sometimes unreliability of the trains and the concept of integrated transport takes a bit of a dive. Pity really.sad :(

Noticed from the bus that some of the new blocks have been removed. Think my intial thoughts were wrong. Looks more like a cock up that a technical exercise.

It's like driving through a quarry with all this rain washing the road up. Does anybody actually know when it will be finished, or who is responsible for it.

agree with these comments entirely, just spoken to Bradford Met 01274435734, and they are going to complete all the resurfacing tomorrow/Sunday, weather permitting. They say that their weather forecast is showers, and that should not prevent the work being done. Fingers crossed!

They were taking kerbs out again today and putting them back.I wouldnt personally have tried bedding them back on concrete today given the amount of rain that came down. They cant have "set" right..
I notice in the T&A that planned roadworks in Menston have been delayed a couple of weeks by Bradford Council to help local buisness's get ready.More like the same gang are so far behind.
