IMPORTANT PLEASE READ This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. With BradŁord Council selling Silsden's Crown Jewels you would think money was tight. But no. The mostly Bradford Council project, The City Park cost Ł25m. Not to worry Council leader Dave Green says its done a lot for the city centre economy and its won some awards!!!. |

Not bad for something that is/will be little more than a landfill site! I would like to know how he thinks it will enhance the economy. BMDC say they have no money, yet they have resurfaced various roads on the outskirts of Bradford. I have logged up to a dozen potholes on their site, including some dangerous kerb stones (Haythorns Avenue), broken manhole cover (Howden Road). How many of these have been rectified? Zero. |
