how is it so easy to get cash for paint and not for CCTV?  |

this post has been edited 1 time(s) The CCTV has already been agreed with Bradford, see recent articles in KN/Craven Herald and the minutes of the town council for June etc. Before you make comment about paint I would suggest that you take a trip down to the town hall and see what improvements have been made for the benefit of Silsden! |

What percentage of the time is the Town Hall used in a year ? Whilst the spending of the money is welcomed, can it be justified ?? |

What were the results of the town hall refurbishment ? I noticed they appear to have replaced some of the windows and given the downstairs room a lick of paint, but it would be nice to see what our £22k has been used for. |

What's that got to do with the Town Hall 'ginjo'? And who says there's a delay with the cameras? I am sure that Bradford don't just take the money and nip down to Comet to buy them! |

Alan, I would love to go in and look, but alas I work very strange hours, the town hall is not open when i go to work aand it is alway closed when I finish work. As I and many others who cannot (or do not) use the facility pay council tax for the upkeep, I think it is a fair question to ask how the money was spent. I do not disagree that the Town Hall is an asset for Silsden, but lets justify the expenditure |

Alan, someone else raised the point about cctv, you replied saying cameras were agreed in june, I was merely responding to that ! But how long does it take to get cameras, a reasonable question I think, stop being so defensive, I am not critisising anyone just a straight forward question. |

this post has been edited 1 time(s) 'ginjo' I can assure you that I am not being defensive! What's more I'm puzzled why you should think I even should be! But it seems to be the same question whatever the thread is! Does it really matter? The CCTV is on it's way, surveys etc have to be done, I was trying to make the point that Bradford just doesn't nip out and buy the cameras and put them on a pole! If you need further information e-mail one of your District Councillors, they control Bradford and their e-mail contacts are on here. |

So do I 'tetleydrinker', but the town hall is open quite often till 10.00pm at night. Briefly they refurbished two rooms, new ceilings, electrics, IT, flooring, and windows etc etc. It was value for money and the money came from Bradford NOT the town precept. THe next question answered is that the town hall is very well used with groups from line dancing to karate etc  |

And there is more. The 2! Yes 2 new boilers, have arrived in the depot and will be being fitted shortly, probably just in time for the warm weather. |
