How long has the cobbled area by Waterloo Mill been a designated car sales pitch? Been down there today and it is the first time I have seen this, that corner is dangerous enough for pedestrians without unnecessary obstructions. |

Been there most, if not all, of the week. Wonder if they are taxed and insured for standing on the public highway?
So not only does that garage bung up the access and sight lines in and out of Craven Drive, they are now affecting other areas too.

Totally agree, it could be illegal to park there anyway. All of Silsden knows where the Toyota garage is, can't see the point of them being there. |

I'm not a "jealous ****",whatever abusive term that is, what a daft thing to say Bob T..the cars are in a stupid place, where it is already dangerous to cross the road, and they should not be parked there. If car drivers are looking at the parked Toyota cars, which I presume is why they are there, they are not looking at who might be trying to cross the road.A distracted driver is not a good driver. A lot of children and old people cross the road there. It's not a great marketing idea at all....very old hat, and road safety should be more important than a bit of free advertising. The garage should move them. |

Isn't the reason for that kerb being lowered so that artic lorries have a better swing round the corner ?
Must be a right pain for the car transporters going up to Toyota. |

It is already illegal for one person (or business) to sell two or more vehicles on a roadside at any one time within a set distance of each other. This has been the law since 2006. I haven't looked so I don't know what's there but that's the law as it stands now. |

Of all the things the government could have spent time legislating, this seems like quite a minor one! However, strangely useful in this case so I'll not moan about it! |

It is very distracting having advertising cars parked on those cobbles (there were two there earlier this week), in fact having any vehicles parked there is a nuisance and should be strongly discouraged. |

Seem to remember when those cobbles were first put down a couple of cars got parking tickets slapped on them for parking on them . Not against any body trying to improve their sales but if there is a law for some people then it should apply to every body . |

My point would be that area is used occasionally as emergency parking by the people jammed into the side road opposite it. Parking advertising cars there stops them doing that, much like those of us turning up Craven Drive can't see, can't park, and have to watch out for people exiting the garage and car wash, who also can't see because of all the damn Toyotas parked on the sides of the road and up the first bit of Craven Avenue.

Oh dear Bob T, I was thinking about the safety of pedestrians...probably more important than sales opportunities...to most caring people! |
