I would have thought sk8r joe that the way to go was for a shelter, maybe two. One for the skate park etc and one for the chavs! |

yeh how about havin 26 shelters???? you can have different shelters for different people. i've made a list of the groups of people who could have their own shelters. skaters chavs under 12's moshers people who want to wait for a bus hippies gays (oh sorry i already sed chavs) drunks skateboarders o.a.p's mentily ill clinicly obese (would need a x-large 1) homeless women with moushtasches dolphins bikers people who work at the co-op zookeepers doctors poets shelter builders widdows asians europeans milk men post men Then every1 can keep out of everybody elses way. |

In my opinion I think silsden skatepark was quite a waste of money. Firstly it was stupid building a skatepark in silsden because their are more chavs than skaters, meaning the skatepark will get wrecked by the chavs. Secondly, who designed it? Its terrible. Their doesnt seem to have been any thought put into the design. If its designed for beginners, why are their two quater pipes the same size, their should be one smaller one and one slightly larger one. The metal bench is pointless for beginners because it is to high and has a round coping on, which goes all the way round the coreners. terrible for skateboarders. The spine is useless aswell, if your gonna build a spine you dont have a gap on the top.Pointless once again for skateboarders. Lastly the rail on the far side next to the stream. Not much room to move, just crammed in their. Sorry to say it but this is a terrbile skatepark. Well done for raising the money and it now gives the chavs a place to hang out indstead of the memorial gardens. |

someone reply, and I think this website should be redesigned, it is very dull. And the youth council should set up their own aimed more at the youth and making it more user friendly, I could make one so much better than this |

me, If you think you can do better then their is no one stopping you from doing your own thing. Be positive the skatboard park is a lot better than what was there before it. Alan I agree with you a shelter for the older youths would be a good idea, but only if they themselves are prepared to do some; if not most of the work involved in getting it, and them look after it; i.e. don't abuse it by trying to burn it down or cover it in abusive remarks. |

Well I agree with that, it is better than before. I still think more design effort could of gone into it. I still think the youth council should create their own website, if you are looking for someone to create one I am able to. I would like to be involved in some way. BTW I can code in HTML/CSS and PHP. |

Noodle, what's with the "they bit" it's not a case of them and you, there was; and still isn't anything stopping you from going along to the meetings, and helping formulate the next phase of the project. Get involved you might find you like it. |
