This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

Have to say I disagree about Fodder - always feel that I am interrupting a private conversation as the guys are always chatting when you walk in.

Have brought 2 lots of veg recently, and either of particularly high quality, not sure how long it had been on the shelf but was desperate!

yes there is usually someone chatting to them me or maj lollaugh :D
there friendley lads and very chatty old style friendley shop keepers
try striking up a conversation put the world to rights like the rest of us try to do

(i usually make my excuses and leave if other customers come in so as not to be rude to the other patrons)

Extra points to Fodder because of their free delivery service. I make regular use of this and it's particularly helpful for anyone who is housebound or, like me, doesn't like carrying a heavy shopping bag uphill. They deserve support for this alone - but I've never had any problems at all with the quality, which has always been very good. Hope Silsden really backs the local shops this Christmas. Who wants to face the trolley run at the big supermarkets?
